It seems that things are getting worse when it comes to coronavirus. On March 11th, 2020 the US experienced the largest increase of COVID-19 cases yet. Also, The World Health Organization declares COVID-19 a pandemic, the first pandemic from a coronavirus ever recorded. So what is a Pandemic? It’s whenever infectious disease has a global presence, and we don’t have a cure or vaccine. While subjective, it is not something that The World Health Organization normally states. On top of this, one of the top US Health Official, Dr. Anthony Fauci, stated: “I can say we will see more cases and things will get worse than they are right now,”. It seems that while China has finally mitigated its crisis, in the US ours is still developing.
As more cases are discovered, we have to wonder how many undocumented cases there are and if the virus is already in our backyard. If proper action is not taken by both government, corporations, and individuals quickly, we could see extreme consequences. Per Dr. Anthony Fauci “I can’t give you a realistic number until we put into the factor of how we respond. If we’re complacent and don’t do really aggressive containment and mitigation, the number could go way up and be involved in many, many millions.”
Take the time to educate yourself, take the time to prepare, and use proactive strategies. The United States, your organization, your employees, and most importantly, your families are depending on it.
